Last updated: March 2026
Lane Consultancy (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit laneconsultancy.com or use our services, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Who we are
Lane Consultancy is a sole trader business operated by George Lane, based in Kent, UK. You can contact us with any privacy-related questions at george@laneconsultancy.com.
2. Data we collect
Information you give us
When you book a call through this site, you will be redirected to Cal.com, a third-party scheduling provider. Cal.com collects your name, email, and any notes you provide. Cal.com's own privacy policy governs that data.
Information we collect automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as pages viewed, time on site, device type, and approximate location. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We may also use the Facebook Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. This tracks certain actions taken on our site and may link them to your Facebook account if you are logged in. You can manage Facebook ad preferences in your Facebook account settings.
3. How we use your data
We use the personal information you submit to:
- Respond to your inquiry and build your free website
- Manage your subscription and provide ongoing website services

- Improve the quality of our service based on your feedback
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing without your consent.
4. Cookies
This website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to make the site work properly and to help us understand how it is used. The cookies we use include:
- Essential cookies: Required for the site to function (e.g. remembering your cookie consent preference). Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): Help us understand visitor behaviour anonymously.
- Advertising cookies (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads): Used to measure ad effectiveness and deliver relevant ads.
Cookie consent for UK & EU visitors
If you are visiting from the UK or the European Union, you will see a cookie consent banner when you first visit the site. Analytics and advertising cookies will not be loaded until you accept. If you reject, these cookies will not be set and no tracking data will be collected.
You can change your cookie preference at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of any page.
Visitors outside the UK and EU are not shown the consent banner, and cookies are loaded automatically in accordance with local regulations.
